Superconductors
Since 1987, SCI Engineered Materials has supplied superconducting materials to researchers, industry, and government. The company holds patents or licenses for the fabrication of Bismuth-Strontium-Calcium-Copper oxide (BSCCO) powder and YBCO large single crystal fabrication (US Patents No. 5,863,867 and 4,839,339 respectively). Today, the company produces ceramic powders, source materials for thin film deposition, and patented Levitators™. SCI also produces scientific kits for educational purposes.
SCI has a track record of successful collaborations in superconductivity with organizations such as the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Energy, NASA, and Argonne National Laboratory. SCI welcomes new collaborations and requests for custom superconducting products.
